Our effort and support from God

Swami replied: In every good action, God’s help is there. In the Gita, God told that the effort from the side of the soul must be 80% and the grace from God will be 20% (Daivaṃ caivātra pañcamam… Gita). In the beginning of creation (Satyayuga), there was no free will and hence, this ratio of effort and grace did not arise. Later on, souls got free will from God since they were bored with robot type of discipline. Since the request for free will was from the souls, 80% responsibility on the souls is justified.
But one important point here is that when the mind is attracted in climax towards God, there is no need of any effort to put the mind on God. When there is no attraction, there is no use of any number of efforts to concentrate the mind on God. Who is responsible for this attraction towards God? Is it God or soul? The answer from My side is God. Unless there is attraction in the personality of God, what can the soul do? If a boy is not attracting the girl, the total responsibility is on the boy. This means that the knowledge preached by the preacher is not complete and competent to attract the devotee. This happens because of the inefficiency of the preacher to present all the correct details of the divine personality of God.
The main part of spiritual knowledge is to give the complete correct details of the divine personality of God so that the devotee is tremendously attracted. The spiritual knowledge must generate the theoretical devotion which is emotional attraction to God. Hence, the defect lies in the first step of the foundation itself. Of course, in this first step, the preacher might have preached well, but the heart of the devotee soaked in worldly attractions might not have digested it well. Hence the probability is 50:50. Both probabilities are possible. This policy of the concept is one and the same whether it is Pravritti or Nivritti. God’s grace always exists on the deserving devotee, who will be dragged towards a good preacher only because after all, the threads of all the souls are in His hand only.

In the above context of 50:50 probability, we are talking about both Sadgurus and fraud preachers along with both deserving and undeserving disciples separately.

I was just speaking to a friend about my desire to join a gym for the free weekly spray tans. He said spray tans are gross and are a form of blackface. Six months ago a strange paranormal event occurred around the world. Countless aiudara - elven teleportation portals - suddenly and mysteriously activated, enchanting onlookers to peer into their light. They saw a loved one, a lost homeland, treasure, or power - and few could resist the temptation to step through. Many who did, never returned.
Those that did, however, were changed.
Collectively known as "Gatewalkers," these individuals could not remember what happened once they stepped through. They remember approaching the aiudara and stepping into it, but the next thing they know they're stepping out of it, having been gone a few hours or days later. This event was known as "the Missing Moment."
Six months ago you were in a remote location minding your own business, when a nearby aiudara activated. What you saw inside is known only to you, but you failed to resist the temptation to walk through.
You were gone for three months.
You, like every Gatewalker, have no idea what happened once you stepped through. When you stepped out, you found you had a strange new power - alongside a brand somewhere on your body, a brand that every Gatewalker carries.
With three months having came and gone and still no answers, you set out to uncover the truth of what happened that fateful night, once and for all.

Hey everyone! My name is Chris, and I'm looking to run the "Gatewalkers" adventure path for Pathfinder Second Edition! I have been a DM for D&D 5e for about 7 years now, but this will be my first time trying Pathfinder 2E. Newbies are more than welcome (and encouraged!) to apply!
Gatewalkers is a new, secretive adventure path, where you play as paranormal investigators trying to uncover the truth of what happened during the Missing Moment. It will start at Level 1 and go up to Level 10.
We will play on FoundryVTT hosted through the Forge (free for you), and use Discord for voice chat and other resources. My DM-ing style is to use a mixture of backdrops/theatre of mind, and then switch to battlemaps for combat or dungeon crawling and such.
Sessions themselves will be hosted Thursdays 8PM CDT, lasting around 2-3 hours. Session 0 will be this coming Thursday!
Some other topics to cover:
- Age: 18-30 please. I myself am 22, and while age isn't a big thing, I want all of my players to be comfortable with each other, so I think it's best if we are of similar age.
- Respect: Pretty simple - be respectful. I strive to create a good and safe environment both in-game and out-of-game, and I won't tolerate bigotry or disrespectful players.
- Attendance: I'm looking for players that can consistently make weekly sessions. Life happens and I understand, but if I can't count on you to be there every week, you will be removed.
